日本(Japan) 前往 希腊(Greece) 签证要求

No visa. Japanese ordinary passport holders can enter Greece visa-free for tourism and stay up to 90 days within any 180-day period across the Schengen Area. ETIAS is not yet required as of June 2026. Greece is part of the Schengen Area, and Japan is on the EU/Schengen visa-exemption list. A Japanese ordinary passport holder travelling for tourism or a short visit does NOT need a visa for Greece and may stay up to 90 days in any rolling 180-day period (the total counts across all Schengen states combined, not per country). This is confirmed by Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs visa-exemption list, the EU/EEAS travel guidance for Japan, and the Embassy of Japan in Greece. Two upcoming EU systems affect travellers but neither is a visa: (1) the Entry/Exit System (EES), a biometric border-registration system, became operational in 2026 and is applied progressively at Schengen external borders (fingerprints and facial image taken at entry, replacing passport stamps) — it is automatic at the border and free; (2) ETIAS, a travel authorisation (not a visa) costing EUR 20 and valid up to 3 years, is expected to start in the last quarter of 2026 and will NOT be mandatory for Japanese nationals before 2027 (with a transitional grace period). As of 2026-06-01, no ETIAS is required. Travellers must still carry a passport valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended departure date and issued within the last 10 years, and may be asked to show proof of onward/return travel, accommodation, and sufficient funds. The verdict is visa-free for the current short tourist stay.
