🇯🇵日本(Japan)🇬🇲冈比亚(The Gambia)JP-GM 日本(Japan) 前往 冈比亚(The Gambia) 签证要求
Japanese ordinary passport holders need a visa for The Gambia, but because there is no resident Gambian diplomatic mission in Japan, Japanese travelers may obtain a visa on arrival at Banjul International Airport for short tourist stays. Carry a yellow-fever certificate and enough USD or dalasi cash for the visa and security fees. The Gambia is not in the Schengen area and grants no visa waiver to Japan. Japanese citizens are not on Gambia's visa-exempt list (which covers ECOWAS/African Union, Commonwealth, EU/EFTA states and a handful of named countries), so a visa is legally required. However, Gambian policy allows nationals of countries that have no Gambian diplomatic representation to obtain an entry visa on arrival at Banjul International Airport. Gambia has no resident embassy or consulate in Japan, so Japanese travelers fall into this visa-on-arrival category. The visa on arrival is typically issued for up to 28 days and costs roughly USD 100-105, payable in cash (USD or dalasi). In addition, a USD 20 (or D1,000) airport security fee is collected both on arrival and on departure. A yellow-fever vaccination certificate is required if arriving from or transiting (over 12 hours) a country with yellow-fever risk. Because cash-only payment, document checks and the non-resident-mission rule can vary, conservative travelers should confirm with a Gambian mission and, where feasible, pre-arrange a visa. There is currently no nationwide official eVisa for ordinary tourist entry; online "Gambia visa" services are third-party agencies, not a government eVisa.
