🇯🇵日本(Japan)🇬🇪格鲁吉亚(Georgia)JP-GE 日本(Japan) 前往 格鲁吉亚(Georgia) 签证要求
No visa needed. Japanese ordinary passport holders can enter Georgia visa-free and stay for up to 365 days for tourism. Since 1 January 2026, all visitors must also carry valid travel medical insurance (minimum 30,000 GEL coverage). Japan is on Georgia's most generous visa-free list, allowing ordinary passport holders to enter without any visa and stay for up to one year (365 days) for tourism, business, or transit. No prior application, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival is required; entry is granted on arrival at any air, land, or sea border. The main 2026 change for travelers is a new entry rule effective 1 January 2026: every foreign visitor (regardless of nationality or length of stay) must hold travel medical insurance valid for the full duration of the stay, with minimum coverage of 30,000 GEL (about USD 11,000). Border officers may request proof of this insurance in paper or electronic form, in Georgian or English. The passport should be valid for the duration of the stay, and travelers should be ready to show onward/return tickets and proof of sufficient funds. Georgia is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to a Georgia trip.
