🇯🇵日本(Japan)🇪🇹埃塞俄比亚(Ethiopia)JP-ET 日本(Japan) 前往 埃塞俄比亚(Ethiopia) 签证要求
Japanese ordinary passport holders need a visa for Ethiopia, but it is easy to obtain online: apply for the Ethiopia eVisa before travel. A 30-day single-entry tourist eVisa costs about USD 62 and is typically issued within 3 business days. Visa on arrival is also available, but only at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. Ethiopia is not visa-free for Japan. Japanese citizens require a visa, which is most easily obtained through the official Ethiopia eVisa system (evisa.gov.et) before departure. The standard tourist product is a 30-day single-entry eVisa, priced at approximately USD 62 (reduced from USD 82 in August 2024), with processing usually completed within about 3 business days. A visa on arrival is also available to Japanese passport holders, but exclusively at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport; travelers entering by land or at other points must hold an eVisa in advance. Both eVisa and visa-on-arrival entry are channeled through Bole International Airport. Ethiopia is in East Africa and is not part of the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply. The eVisa is the recommended route because it removes the risk of airport queues and confirms entry permission before boarding. Passports should be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of entry with at least one blank page.
