🇯🇵日本(Japan)🇪🇪爱沙尼亚(Estonia)JP-EE 日本(Japan) 前往 爱沙尼亚(Estonia) 签证要求
Japanese ordinary passport holders can travel to Estonia visa-free for tourism, staying up to 90 days within any 180-day period across the Schengen Area. No visa is required as of June 2026. Estonia is a member of the Schengen Area, and Japan is on the EU/Schengen visa-exemption list for short stays. A Japanese ordinary passport holder may enter Estonia for tourism, business, or family visits without a visa for up to 90 days in any rolling 180-day period. This limit is cumulative across ALL Schengen countries, not 90 days per country. No application or fee is required before travel today. Entry is granted at the border provided the traveler can show a passport valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended departure (with at least 2 blank pages, issued within the last 10 years), proof of onward/return travel, sufficient funds, accommodation details, and travel medical insurance is recommended. Two upcoming EU systems will affect this route: the Entry/Exit System (EES), a biometric border-registration system that began rollout on 10 April 2026 (no fee, registered at the border), and ETIAS, an electronic travel authorization expected to become operational in the last quarter of 2026 followed by a transitional grace period. ETIAS is NOT a visa; it will cost EUR 20 (free for under-18s and over-70s), be valid up to 3 years or until passport expiry, and is not yet required as of 30 May 2026. Until ETIAS enforcement begins, Japanese nationals continue to enter visa-free and authorization-free.
