🇮🇹意大利(Italy)🇹🇿坦桑尼亚(Tanzania)IT-TZ 意大利(Italy) 前往 坦桑尼亚(Tanzania) 签证要求
Italian passport holders need a visa for Tanzania. The recommended route is the Tanzania eVisa (Ordinary Single-Entry Visa, 50 USD), applied for online before travel and valid for a stay of up to 90 days. Italy is not on Tanzania's visa-exempt list, so Italian ordinary passport holders require a visa for tourism. The simplest and officially recommended channel is the Tanzania eVisa, applied for online at the Tanzania Immigration Department portal (visa.immigration.go.tz) before departure. Tourists apply for the Ordinary Visa (Single Entry), which costs 50 USD and permits a stay of up to 90 days. The official guidance states processing takes around 10 days, so travelers should apply at least two weeks ahead. While the official guidelines page still lists visa-on-arrival as technically available to over 100 nationalities (Italy not being on any restricted list), numerous 2025-2026 sources report that Tanzania has phased out or strongly discouraged VOA in favor of the eVisa, and the immigration authority itself recommends using the online platform. To avoid uncertainty at the border, an eVisa obtained in advance is the reliable choice. The eVisa is valid for the same destinations as the standard ordinary visa, including Zanzibar. Required documents include a passport valid at least 6 months, a passport photo, a return/onward ticket, and accommodation details. Tanzania is in East Africa and is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
