🇮🇹意大利(Italy)🇳🇮尼加拉瓜(Nicaragua)IT-NI 意大利(Italy) 前往 尼加拉瓜(Nicaragua) 签证要求
Italian ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourist trips to Nicaragua. They may enter visa-free for up to 90 days and simply purchase a US$10 tourist card on arrival. Italy was retained in Nicaragua's visa-exempt "Category A" list under the February 2026 migration reform. As of June 2026, Italy (ordinary passport) is a visa-exempt country for Nicaragua. Travelers can enter for tourism without any advance visa and stay up to 90 days. Nicaragua overhauled its visa categories with Disposition No. 002-2026, effective 16 February 2026, reclassifying many nationalities into the "Visa Consultada" (pre-approved consulted visa) category. Italy, along with EU peers such as Germany, France and Spain, remained in Category A (visa-free, up to 90 days). On arrival, all visa-exempt visitors pay a US$10 tourist card fee in cash (USD or Nicaraguan cordobas). Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond entry, and travelers should carry proof of onward/return travel, sufficient funds and accommodation details. Nicaragua is in Central America, not the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to this route. Because the policy environment shifted significantly in early 2026, travelers should reconfirm their status close to departure via an airline/IATA check or a Nicaraguan consulate.
