🇮🇹意大利(Italy)🇱🇰斯里兰卡(Sri Lanka)IT-LK 意大利(Italy) 前往 斯里兰卡(Sri Lanka) 签证要求
Italian passport holders need an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to visit Sri Lanka, but as of 25 May 2026 the tourist ETA is free of charge for Italy. You must still apply online before you fly; entry is not granted without an approved ETA. Sri Lanka is not a visa-free destination for Italian citizens, but it operates an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) system that must be obtained online before arrival. On 25 May 2026 Sri Lanka added Italy to a list of 40 countries whose nationals receive the 30-day tourist ETA free of charge. The ETA is still mandatory for every traveler, including infants, and links electronically to your passport. It grants a stay of up to 30 days with double entry, valid for tourism, visiting family, short medical treatment, and similar short visits. Apply only through the official portal eta.gov.lk to avoid third-party markups; approval is normally issued by email within minutes to 72 hours. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months on arrival. Travelers wanting to stay beyond 30 days can extend at the Department of Immigration in Colombo for a fee. Because the free-fee policy is recent (May 2026) and Sri Lanka has periodically reversed visa-fee decisions, confirm the current fee on the official site before applying. Sri Lanka is not in the Schengen area, so the 90/180 Schengen rule and ETIAS do not apply here.
