意大利(Italy) 前往 克罗地亚(Croatia) 签证要求

No visa is required. Italian citizens enjoy full EU freedom of movement and can travel to Croatia for tourism with just a valid passport or national ID card, with no time limit on their stay. Italy and Croatia are both European Union member states, and Croatia is also part of the Schengen Area (since 1 January 2023). As a result, Italian ordinary passport holders travel to Croatia under the EU principle of freedom of movement: no visa, no eVisa, and no prior travel authorization is needed for a short tourist visit. The Schengen 90/180 short-stay rule and the upcoming ETIAS travel authorization apply only to non-EU visa-exempt nationals, not to EU citizens. An Italian citizen may therefore enter and remain in Croatia indefinitely as far as immigration entry is concerned, though stays longer than three months require a simple registration of residence with local authorities under EU residency rules. Travel is permitted on either a valid Italian passport or a valid Italian national identity card. Because Croatia is in Schengen, there are normally no systematic internal border controls between Italy and Croatia, although ID may still be requested by carriers or police. The Entry/Exit System (EES) and ETIAS being rolled out across the EU do not apply to EU citizens. The verdict is unambiguously visa-free, confirmed by the European Commission's Your Europe portal and Croatian government sources.
