🇮🇹意大利(Italy)🇬🇪格鲁吉亚(Georgia)IT-GE 意大利(Italy) 前往 格鲁吉亚(Georgia) 签证要求
No visa needed. Italian (EU) passport holders can enter Georgia visa-free for tourism and stay up to 365 days. Note: from 1 January 2026, all visitors must carry travel medical insurance with minimum cover of GEL 30,000. Georgia grants visa-free entry to citizens of all EU member states, including Italy, for stays of up to one full year (365 days). This is one of the most generous visa-free regimes in the world, covering tourism, business, visiting family/friends, and even allows holders to register a residence or business during the stay (though not paid local employment). Italian citizens may enter either with a valid ordinary passport or with a national identity card issued by an EU member state. Georgia is NOT part of the European Union or the Schengen Area, so time spent in Georgia does not count toward the Schengen 90/180-day allowance, and ETIAS does not apply to entering Georgia. The single most important recent change: effective 1 January 2026, every foreign visitor entering Georgia (including visa-free EU travelers) must hold valid travel health and accident insurance covering the full duration of stay, with a minimum coverage limit of GEL 30,000 (approximately USD 11,000). Border officers may request proof of this policy (paper or electronic, in Georgian or English) at any entry point, and lack of compliant insurance can result in refusal of entry. No visa fee applies to visa-free entry; the only mandatory cost is the insurance policy.
