🇮🇹意大利(Italy)🇪🇸西班牙(Spain)IT-ES 意大利(Italy) 前往 西班牙(Spain) 签证要求
No visa. As an EU citizen, an Italian passport holder enjoys full freedom of movement and can enter, stay, work, and live in Spain with no visa, no ETIAS, and no time limit. Italy and Spain are both members of the European Union and the Schengen Area, so Italian citizens travel to Spain under EU freedom of movement — the strongest possible status. An Italian national may enter Spain with a valid Italian passport or national identity card (carta d'identità), with no visa and no entry stamp. The Schengen 90/180 short-stay rule and the upcoming ETIAS travel authorization apply only to non-EU (third-country) nationals and do NOT apply to Italian citizens. There is no limit on how long an Italian citizen may remain in Spain for tourism. For stays exceeding 90 consecutive days for residence purposes (work, study, retirement, etc.), EU rules require registering with local authorities and obtaining a Certificado de Registro de Ciudadano de la Unión (EU registration certificate, which also assigns an NIE foreigner number) — but this is a residence formality, not a visa, and is irrelevant to ordinary short tourist visits. Note: from 3 August 2026, Italy will phase out the old paper carta d'identità for foreign travel in favor of the electronic ID; the passport remains universally valid regardless.
