🇮🇹意大利(Italy)🇨🇾塞浦路斯(Cyprus)IT-CY 意大利(Italy) 前往 塞浦路斯(Cyprus) 签证要求
No visa. As an EU citizen, an Italian passport holder enjoys EU freedom of movement and can enter Cyprus visa-free for any length of stay, using either a valid passport or a photo-bearing Italian national ID card (carta d'identita). Both Italy and Cyprus are member states of the European Union, so Italian citizens travel to Cyprus under the EU right of free movement rather than any visa or border-entry scheme. There is no visa, no fee, no application, and no time limit on stay beyond the standard EU registration rules (registering with local authorities if staying longer than three months). An Italian citizen may enter, transit, work, study, or reside in Cyprus on the strength of EU citizenship alone. Travel documents accepted are a valid Italian passport OR a valid Italian national identity card bearing a photograph; the document only needs to be valid on the day of travel. Note that Cyprus, although an EU member since 2004, is NOT yet part of the Schengen area as of mid-2026 (it and Ireland remain outside, with Cyprus pending a final Council decision on accession). Because of this, identity checks still take place when travelling between Schengen countries and Cyprus, so you should always carry your passport or ID card even though Italy is in Schengen. The Schengen 90/180 short-stay rule does NOT govern an Italian citizen's stay in Cyprus, and ETIAS (the upcoming EU travel authorisation) does NOT and will never apply to EU nationals. Cyprus is also not joining the Entry/Exit System (EES) rollout while it remains outside Schengen. In short: an Italian traveller faces the simplest possible regime, visa-free entry with a national ID card, and the only practical advice is to carry valid identification and register locally only if the stay exceeds three months.
