🇮🇹意大利(Italy)🇧🇪比利时(Belgium)IT-BE 意大利(Italy) 前往 比利时(Belgium) 签证要求
Italian passport holders do NOT need a visa to visit Belgium. As EU citizens exercising free movement rights, they can travel to Belgium with a valid Italian passport or national ID card and stay indefinitely; no 90/180 limit and no ETIAS apply. Italy and Belgium are both European Union member states and part of the Schengen Area. Under the EU right of free movement (Directive 2004/38/EC), Italian citizens may enter, travel, work and reside in Belgium without a visa. Travel requires only a valid Italian passport or a valid Italian national identity card (Carta d'Identita) — there are no internal Schengen border checks under normal circumstances. The Schengen 90/180-day short-stay rule and the upcoming ETIAS travel authorisation apply only to non-EU/visa-exempt nationals, NOT to EU citizens, so they do not restrict Italians. For stays under three months, no formalities are required for tourism, though if establishing a temporary base, EU visitors may report to the local municipality within 10 days (an Annex 3ter is issued). Note: Italian paper-format ID cards cease to be valid for foreign travel from 3 August 2026, so an electronic ID card (CIE) or a passport should be used. Belgium can reintroduce temporary internal border controls in exceptional circumstances, so carrying a valid travel document is always advised.
