🇮🇹意大利(Italy)🇦🇹奥地利(Austria)IT-AT 意大利(Italy) 前往 奥地利(Austria) 签证要求
No. As an EU citizen, an Italian passport (or national ID card) holder needs no visa to enter Austria and can travel and stay freely under EU freedom of movement. Italy and Austria are both members of the European Union and the Schengen Area. Italian citizens enjoy the EU right of free movement, so they may enter Austria with no visa and no prior authorisation for tourism, business, study or work. A valid Italian national identity card "valid for travel abroad" is sufficient; a passport is not strictly required, though it is also accepted. There is no border passport check between Italy and Austria (internal Schengen border), and ETIAS does NOT apply to EU citizens. The Schengen 90/180-day short-stay rule, which limits non-EU visa-free visitors, does not restrict Italians either: as EU citizens they have an unconditional right to reside for up to three months and may stay longer if they are working, self-supporting (with health cover), or studying. For any stay beyond three months, an Italian must request a registration certificate (Anmeldebescheinigung) from the local authority within four months of arrival. All residents must also complete the standard local address registration (Meldezettel) within three working days of taking up an address. For a short tourist visit there is no paperwork, fee, or registration beyond hotel check-in.
