🇮🇳印度(India)🇳🇵尼泊尔(Nepal)IN-NP 印度(India) 前往 尼泊尔(Nepal) 签证要求
No visa required. Indian citizens can enter and stay in Nepal indefinitely for tourism under the 1950 Indo-Nepal Treaty of Peace and Friendship. You only need to carry an acceptable proof of Indian nationality (passport or original Voter ID card). Indian ordinary passport holders do not need a visa to visit Nepal. Under Article 7 of the 1950 Indo-Nepal Treaty of Peace and Friendship, citizens of both countries enjoy free movement on a reciprocal basis, so Indians can enter, stay, work and reside in Nepal without any visa, permit, or time limit. For tourism there is no application, no fee and no online process. The only practical requirement is carrying a valid travel/identity document that proves Indian nationality. For air travel between India and Nepal, the Embassy of India in Kathmandu and Nepal Immigration accept only a valid Indian passport or the original (physical) Voter ID card with photograph issued by the Election Commission of India. An Aadhaar card, PAN card, driving licence, or a downloaded/printed Voter ID are NOT accepted. Travelers above 65 and below 15 years are exempt from the approved-document requirement but should still carry photo ID to confirm age and identity; minors without a passport may use a birth registration certificate. Note one separate rule: if you plan to fly onward from Nepal to a third country (not back to India), you must obtain a Third Country No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Embassy of India in Kathmandu. This NOC is not required when returning directly to India. As of 2026 these rules are unchanged and there is no eVisa, ETA or visa-on-arrival process involved for Indians.
