🇮🇳印度(India)🇳🇴挪威(Norway)IN-NO 印度(India) 前往 挪威(Norway) 签证要求
Indian ordinary passport holders need a Schengen short-stay (Type C) visa before traveling to Norway for tourism. There is no visa-free entry, visa-on-arrival, or eVisa option, and ETIAS does not apply to visa-required nationals like India. Norway is part of the Schengen Area, and Indian citizens are on the list of nationalities that must obtain a Schengen visitor's visa (Type C) before arrival. The official Norwegian government portal explicitly states that citizens of India must apply for a visitor's visa for tourism or leisure visits. The visa permits stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period across the entire Schengen Area. Applications from India are processed through VFS Global on behalf of the Royal Norwegian Embassy: travelers register online, pay the EUR 90 visa fee plus a VFS service charge, book a biometric appointment, and submit documents in person. Standard processing is about 15 working days but can extend to 45 working days during peak season or if extra scrutiny is needed. A key requirement is travel medical insurance with minimum EUR 30,000 coverage including repatriation. The EU's ETIAS travel authorization (expected to launch late 2026) does NOT apply to Indian nationals, because ETIAS only covers visa-exempt countries; Indians must continue using the standard Schengen visa route. Separately, the EU Entry/Exit System (EES) records biometric border crossings but does not replace the visa requirement. Travelers should apply well in advance (slots can be limited) and ensure their passport is valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended departure from Schengen with at least two blank pages.
