🇮🇳印度(India)🇳🇮尼加拉瓜(Nicaragua)IN-NI 印度(India) 前往 尼加拉瓜(Nicaragua) 签证要求
Yes. As of 16 February 2026, Indian ordinary passport holders need a visa for Nicaragua. India is now in Category C ("visa consultada" / consulted visa), which requires prior authorization from immigration authorities in Managua before travel. The previous visa-on-arrival option for Indians has been abolished. Nicaragua overhauled its visa policy through Provision/Decree 002-2026, effective 16 February 2026, ending visa exemptions and visa-on-arrival for many nationalities. Indian ordinary passport holders are classified in migratory Category C, the "consulted visa" (visa consultada) category. This means you must obtain advance authorization from the General Directorate of Migration and Foreigners (DGME) in Managua before traveling. The process: complete the special application form, submit it electronically via the consular portal (tramitesconsulares.mint.gob.ni) or by email to solicitudes@mint.gob.ni with a scan of your passport biodata page (minimum 6 months validity), wait for written authorization from Managua, then collect/have the visa stamped at a Nicaraguan consular office. The consulted visa typically grants an initial stay of 30 days, extendable in-country up to 90 days. A separate US$10 tourist card is paid in cash on arrival. Note: Indian passport holders carrying a valid multiple-entry US, UK, Schengen, or Canadian visa have historically been able to use a streamlined channel, but under the new consulted-visa regime travelers should confirm with the Nicaraguan consulate, as the visa-on-arrival route has been discontinued. Default verdict is visa-required; do not travel without confirmed authorization.
