🇮🇳印度(India)🇮🇶伊拉克(Iraq)IN-IQ 印度(India) 前往 伊拉克(Iraq) 签证要求
Indian ordinary passport holders need a pre-approved eVisa to enter federal Iraq for tourism. Apply online at the official portal (evisa.iq) before departure. Visa on arrival was suspended on 1 March 2025, and the Iraqi Embassy in New Delhi issues only business visas, so the eVisa is the practical tourist channel. As of mid-2026, Indian (IN) ordinary passport holders are NOT visa-free for Iraq and cannot rely on visa on arrival, which Iraq suspended on 1 March 2025. The route to a short tourist visit is the federal Iraq electronic visa (eVisa), applied for in advance through the official government portal evisa.iq. The eVisa is a single-entry visit visa allowing a stay of up to 30 days, typically issued within a few business days; the all-in cost is around USD 158-160 (about ₹13,200-13,300) because it bundles a mandatory health-insurance component. The passport must be valid at least 6 months from entry with blank pages. Important caveat: the federal eVisa is valid for travel into the Kurdistan Region, but the Kurdistan Regional Government runs a separate system and Indian nationals have reportedly been blacklisted from KRG-issued permits, so travelers intending to visit Erbil/Sulaymaniyah should verify regional entry separately. Iraq is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Because commercial agency sites and official documentation are not fully consistent on Indian eVisa eligibility, travelers should confirm eligibility on evisa.iq before booking; if not eligible online, the Iraqi Embassy in New Delhi (business visas) is the fallback.
