🇮🇳印度(India)🇬🇲冈比亚(The Gambia)IN-GM 印度(India) 前往 冈比亚(The Gambia) 签证要求
Indian ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for The Gambia. As Commonwealth citizens, they may enter visa-free for up to 90 days for tourism. A Securiport airport fee of about USD 20 (D1,000) is payable on both arrival and departure. India is a member of the Commonwealth of Nations, and The Gambia's official visa policy exempts all Commonwealth citizens from visa requirements. The Gambia Immigration Department's current (February 2026) entry-requirements document explicitly lists "Commonwealth Citizens" among the categories that do not need a Gambian visa, with free entry for a maximum of 90 days before any gainful employment or business is allowed. This means an Indian tourist can fly to Banjul International Airport and be admitted without obtaining a visa in advance or on arrival. Travelers should still hold a passport valid for at least six months with blank pages, evidence of onward/return travel and sufficient funds, and a yellow fever vaccination certificate (required for entry to The Gambia, especially if arriving from or transiting a yellow-fever risk country). A non-mandated but routinely collected Securiport border-security fee of D1,000 (about USD 20, or EUR 20) is charged in cash on both arrival and departure; diplomats and children aged two and under are exempt. Some commercial visa-agent sites still describe an "embassy visa" as required for Indians, but these conflict with the official Gambian government and immigration sources, which clearly place Commonwealth nationals in the visa-exemption category. Because visa-waiver agreements can change, travelers should re-confirm the policy close to departure. The Gambia is in West Africa and is not part of the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply.
