🇮🇳印度(India)🇬🇪格鲁吉亚(Georgia)IN-GE 印度(India) 前往 格鲁吉亚(Georgia) 签证要求
Indian ordinary passport holders need a visa for Georgia, and the standard route for tourism is the online e-Visa (Georgia does not grant visa-on-arrival to Indians). The e-Visa allows a stay of up to 30 days within a 120-day window. As an alternative, Indians who already hold a valid visa or residence permit from the US, UK, Schengen, Japan, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Israel or a GCC state may enter visa-free for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. From 1 January 2026, all tourists must carry health and accident insurance (minimum 30,000 GEL cover). Georgia is NOT in the Schengen area, so ETIAS and the Schengen 90/180 rule do not apply to entering Georgia itself. Georgia is not a Schengen or EU member, so ETIAS and the Schengen short-stay rule are irrelevant for entering Georgia. India is not on Georgia's general visa-free citizen list, so an ordinary Indian passport holder must hold a visa to enter. The practical and most-used channel for tourism is Georgia's electronic visa (e-Visa) applied for at the official portal evisa.gov.ge: a short-term (Category B) tourist e-Visa permitting a stay of up to 30 days within a 120-day period. The consular fee is USD 20 plus a 2% service fee (around USD 35-36 total including the mandatory online identity check), with processing typically 5-10 working days. Georgia does NOT offer visa-on-arrival to Indian nationals, so the e-Visa must be obtained before travel. A separate visa-free pathway exists for Indians who hold a valid (multiple-entry where applicable) visa or residence permit from the US, UK, Schengen Area, EU/EFTA states, Japan, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Israel or the GCC states; these travelers may enter visa-free for up to 90 days in any 180-day period, provided the qualifying document is valid on the date of arrival. Note that since 2024-2025 there have been reports of GCC-residence-permit holders of Indian citizenship occasionally being refused entry, so US/UK/Schengen documents are the most reliable visa-free trigger. Effective 1 January 2026, all tourists entering Georgia must hold health and accident insurance with minimum coverage of 30,000 GEL (about USD 11,000). Default verdict: e-Visa, as it is the route applicable to a standard Indian passport holder without a qualifying third-country visa.
