Israeli passport holders need a visa for Timor-Leste, but can get a tourist visa on arrival at Dili airport or seaport for USD 30, valid for a 30-day single-entry stay. Timor-Leste (East Timor) is not in the Schengen area and does not waive visas for Israeli citizens. Only a short list of nationalities (such as Portugal and the United States) are visa-exempt for tourism. Passports must be valid for at least 6 months with a blank page. Note that visa on arrival is generally NOT available at land borders (e.g., from Indonesian West Timor) for most nationalities including Israelis; those crossing by land must obtain a Visa Application Authorization in advance. There are no Israel-specific entry bans for tourism.
