Israeli passport holders can travel to Slovenia visa-free for tourism, staying up to 90 days within any 180-day period in the Schengen Area. Slovenia is a member of the Schengen Area, and Israel is on the EU list of visa-exempt nationalities. An Israeli ordinary passport holder therefore does not need a visa for short tourist visits to Slovenia. The Slovenian Embassy in Tel Aviv explicitly confirms "Visa is not required up to 3 months." Stays are governed by the Schengen short-stay rule: a maximum of 90 days within any rolling 180-day period, counted cumulatively across ALL Schengen countries (not Slovenia alone). The passport should be valid for at least three months beyond the intended departure date and issued within the previous 10 years. No visa fee applies. Looking ahead, the EU's ETIAS travel authorisation is scheduled to launch in Q4 2026 and will eventually be required for visa-exempt travelers including Israelis; however, as of 2 June 2026 it is NOT yet operational or mandatory (mandatory enforcement is expected in 2027 after transitional and grace periods). When it is in force, ETIAS will cost EUR 20 (free for under-18s and over-70s), is valid for 3 years or until passport expiry, and is an online authorisation rather than a visa.
