Israeli passport holders need a visa for Nigeria. Since 1 May 2025, Nigeria ended visa-on-arrival and requires a pre-arranged e-Visa applied for online before travel. For tourism, apply for the Tourism Visa (F5A): single entry, up to 30 days stay, visa valid 90 days from issuance. An ordinary Israeli passport holder traveling to Nigeria for tourism must obtain a visa in advance. Nigeria is not visa-free for Israel and no longer offers visa-on-arrival to ordinary travelers: effective 1 May 2025, the Nigeria Immigration Service replaced the old visa-on-arrival programme with a fully online e-Visa system, with short-stay applications processed within 48 hours or less. For a short tourist visit the correct category is the Tourism Visa (F5A), a single-entry visa permitting a maximum stay of 30 days within a visa validity of 90 days from issuance. Applicants apply on the official e-Visa portal (evisa.immigration.gov.ng), upload a passport bio-data page, photo, return ticket, hotel reservation or host address and recent bank statements, pay the fee online and receive the visa by email — no physical sticker or, for most nationalities, embassy appointment is required. Israeli applicants may alternatively lodge through the Nigerian Embassy in Tel Aviv, which still requires a letter of invitation, the inviter's passport data page, Israeli ID copy and supporting documents. In addition, all foreign travelers must complete the mandatory online Landing Card before arrival and an Exit Card on departure, obtainable up to 72 hours before travel. Nigeria is in West Africa and is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Because a no-visa or visa-on-arrival channel cannot be confirmed for Israeli ordinary passport holders, the verdict is e-Visa (visa required, obtained online in advance).
