Israeli ordinary passport holders can visit South Korea visa-free for up to 90 days for tourism, with no visa or K-ETA needed through December 31, 2026 (Israel is on the temporary K-ETA exemption list). However, a free mandatory e-Arrival Card must be filed online before arrival. Israel and South Korea have a longstanding bilateral visa-waiver arrangement, so Israeli ordinary (biometric) passport holders may enter the Republic of Korea visa-free for short visits of up to 90 days for tourism or business. South Korea normally requires visa-free nationals to obtain a K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization), but Israel is among the 67 countries and territories placed on a temporary K-ETA exemption that the Ministry of Justice has extended through December 31, 2026 — meaning Israeli tourists currently do NOT need a K-ETA. The exemption applies only to regular Israeli passports; holders of Israeli provisional/emergency travel documents (Laissez-Passer) must obtain a visa from the Korean Embassy. Separately, since January 1, 2026 South Korea requires all foreign visitors (including K-ETA-exempt travelers) to complete a free electronic e-Arrival Card within 72 hours before arrival, unless they voluntarily hold a valid K-ETA. From January 1, 2027 the temporary exemption is currently scheduled to end, after which Israeli travelers would again need to apply for a K-ETA. Travelers should carry a passport valid for the duration of stay (six months recommended) and proof of onward travel.
