Visa-on-arrival is available at Sheikh Hussein (North) and Queen Alia Airport. The Jordan Pass waives the visa fee for stays of 3+ consecutive nights. Jordan and Israel have maintained a peace treaty since 1994, so Israeli citizens can legally travel to Jordan for tourism, but Jordan is NOT visa-free for Israeli passport holders. Visa-on-arrival is available for most travelers at Queen Alia International Airport, the Sheikh Hussein/North land crossing, and (case-dependent) Wadi Araba/South, but it is NOT available at the King Hussein/Allenby Bridge crossing, where the visa must be arranged beforehand. As of 2026, visitors are generally granted up to a 90-day stay on entry; single-entry visa validity runs roughly 3 months from issue and stays are extendable at a local police station. Israeli passport holders crossing certain land borders may be asked for proof of a pre-arranged Jordanian guide and a hotel reservation, especially when entering as individual tourists. A 10 JOD exit fee applies at land borders. Travelers visiting Petra and other sites can buy the Jordan Pass, which waives the 40 JOD visa fee provided they stay at least 3 consecutive nights. Jordan is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Conservative recommendation: apply for the eVisa in advance to avoid border refusals.
