Since 2024-2025, all arriving and departing travelers must complete the free electronic Regional Traveler Affidavit (Declaracion Jurada Regional del Viajero, DJRV) online before travel; this generates a QR code requested at check-in and on arrival. Guatemala is in Central America and is NOT part of the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply. Standard entry conditions include a passport with sufficient validity (commonly recommended six months, minimum three months beyond stay), proof of onward/return travel, and evidence of sufficient funds. Reports labelling Israel a "Category B" visa-required nationality are inaccurate; authoritative sources consistently list Israel as visa-exempt.
