Israeli ordinary passport holders can travel to Czechia for tourism without a visa, staying up to 90 days within any 180-day period across the Schengen Area. No visa or pre-travel authorization is required as of 2 June 2026. ETIAS will become mandatory only after its expected launch in Q4 2026. Czechia is a member of the Schengen Area, and Israel is on the EU list of visa-exempt third countries. As confirmed by the Czech Ministry of the Interior immigration portal (ipc.gov.cz), Israeli citizens holding an ordinary passport may enter Czechia and the wider Schengen Area without a visa for short stays of up to 90 days in any rolling 180-day period, for purposes such as tourism, visiting family or friends, and business meetings. This visa exemption applies as of today, 2 June 2026, with no electronic authorization currently required. The European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) is expected to launch in the last quarter of 2026. Once operational, ETIAS will be mandatory for visa-exempt nationals, including Israelis, who will need to obtain an online travel authorization (EUR 20, valid for up to 3 years) before boarding. Until ETIAS goes live, Israeli travelers need only a valid passport meeting Schengen validity rules. Travelers should always carry proof of onward/return travel, sufficient funds, and travel medical insurance, as Schengen border officers may request these.
