Indonesian ordinary passport holders can enter Rwanda visa-free for up to 90 days for tourism. Indonesia is on Rwanda's official 90-day visa-waiver list, so no visa, application, or fee is required before or on arrival. As of 2026, holders of an ordinary Indonesian passport enjoy one of Rwanda's most generous entry arrangements. Indonesia is specifically named on the Rwanda Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration's list of countries "granted 90 days valid visa free of charge upon arrival." This is a unilateral visa-waiver rather than a visa-on-arrival sticker: Indonesian tourists simply present a valid passport at Kigali International Airport or a land border and are admitted for up to 90 days at no cost, with no prior online application needed. Rwanda separately operates a universal visa-on-arrival scheme for nationalities not on a waiver list (capped at USD 50 single / USD 70 multiple entry), but Indonesians do not need it. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months on arrival with at least two blank pages. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required only if arriving from or transiting a country with risk of yellow fever transmission. Rwanda is in East Africa and is not part of the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply. Travelers staying beyond 90 days or working/studying must obtain the appropriate visa or permit through the IremboGov online portal before the waiver expires.
