Do Indonesia passport holders need a visa to visit FJ?
Indonesian ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourism in Fiji. Indonesia is on Fiji's visa-exempt list, and travelers are granted a free Visitors Permit on arrival for stays of up to 4 months. Indonesia is one of the countries on Fiji's official visa-exemption list (confirmed by the Fiji Ministry of Immigration). Indonesian citizens traveling for tourism, visiting friends/relatives, conferences, or transit are not required to obtain a visa before travel. On arrival, an immigration officer grants a Visitors Permit, which can be issued for several days up to a maximum of 4 months at no charge. To qualify, the traveler must hold a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended stay, present a confirmed return or onward ticket, show proof of accommodation (hotel booking or host details), demonstrate sufficient funds, and complete the immigration arrival card. The Visitors Permit cannot be used for employment or job-seeking. Fiji is NOT in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. No eVisa, ETA, or visa-on-arrival fee is required for short tourist stays by Indonesian nationals as of mid-2026.
