Do Indonesia passport holders need a visa to visit AL?

Indonesian ordinary-passport holders need an Albania e-Visa (Type C) for tourism in 2026. The seasonal visa-free window Albania granted Indonesia in 2025 (15 Apr-31 Dec) was NOT renewed for 2026, so a visa is required. Apply online at the official e-visa.al portal before travel. As of 31 May 2026, holders of an ordinary Indonesian passport require a visa to enter Albania for tourism. Albania's official Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs visa-regime table currently lists only Saudi Arabia and Qatar under the seasonal "tourism only, 15 April-31 December 2026" exemption; Indonesia is no longer included, meaning the visa-free treatment Indonesians enjoyed in 2025 has lapsed. Indonesia is, however, eligible for Albania's online e-Visa system (e-visa.al). The relevant product is the short-stay Type C tourist e-Visa, which permits stays under the Schengen-style 90-days-in-any-180-days formula, can be issued for single, double or multiple entries, and carries an official government fee of about EUR 60. Standard processing is roughly 5-15 working days, occasionally up to 30 days in exceptional cases, so travelers should apply well before departure. There is no visa-on-arrival channel for Indonesian ordinary passports at Albanian border crossings. Note: Albania is NOT in the Schengen Area (it is an EU candidate), so an Albanian e-Visa does not grant Schengen access and ETIAS does not apply to Albania; however, valid multiple-entry Schengen visas/residence permits can be used to enter Albania separately. Conservative guidance: confirm the latest decision directly on punetejashtme.gov.al before booking, as Albania has historically issued annual seasonal exemption decisions that can change.

2025 seasonal visa-free exemption not renewed for 2026

Indonesia not on Albania's permanent visa-free list
Outside seasonal decisions, ordinary Indonesian passports have never had standing visa-free access to Albania.

No visa-on-arrival channel
Albania does not issue visas on arrival to Indonesian ordinary passport holders, so the visa must be obtained beforehand.

Frequently asked

Can Indonesians still enter Albania visa-free like in 2025?
No. The visa-free tourism window Albania extended to Indonesians from 15 April to 31 December 2025 was not renewed for 2026. The official 2026 list includes only Saudi Arabia and Qatar, so Indonesians now need an e-Visa.
