Do Hong Kong passport holders need a visa to visit ZW?
No visa needed. HKSAR ordinary passport holders are in Zimbabwe's Category A (visa-exempt) and can enter for tourism for up to 90 days, free of charge, with a passport stamp issued on arrival. Holders of the Hong Kong SAR ordinary passport are classified by the Zimbabwe Department of Immigration as a Category A nationality, meaning they do not require a visa to enter Zimbabwe for tourism or short visits. On arrival at any port of entry, immigration officers issue a free entry stamp granting a stay of up to 90 days for holiday purposes (extendable in 30-day increments up to a 90-day total). No advance application, fee, or visa-on-arrival payment is required for Category A travelers. Zimbabwe operates an optional online portal (evisa.gov.zw) where Category A visitors may complete an "Entry Without Visa" declaration in advance to speed up processing at the border, but this is not mandatory. Standard entry conditions apply: a passport valid for at least six months with blank pages, a confirmed return or onward ticket, proof of accommodation or funds, and, for travelers arriving from a yellow-fever risk country, a yellow-fever vaccination certificate. This visa-free arrangement was confirmed against the Hong Kong Immigration Department's visa-free access list and Zimbabwe's official eVisa platform as of 30 May 2026.
