Do Hong Kong passport holders need a visa to visit UZ?
Hong Kong SAR ordinary passport holders can enter Uzbekistan visa-free for tourist stays of up to 10 days. For longer trips, an inexpensive e-visa (up to 30 days) is required. HKSAR ordinary passport holders enjoy a unilateral visa-free arrangement with Uzbekistan. Since 1 March 2021 the visa-free period was extended from 7 to 10 days, confirmed by the Hong Kong Immigration Department. Travelers may enter through international airports holding a return air ticket or an onward ticket to a third country, with a passport valid at least 6 months. The visa-free regime covers tourism and short business/transit visits only; it does not permit employment. For any stay exceeding 10 days, travelers must obtain Uzbekistan's official e-visa via e-visa.gov.uz, which permits up to 30 days, is valid 90 days from issue, and is processed in about 2 business days. Fees are USD 20 (single entry), USD 35 (double) or USD 50 (multiple), plus a small bank surcharge. Uzbekistan is not in the Schengen area, so the 90/180 Schengen rule and ETIAS do not apply.
