Standard processing is roughly 24-72 hours, with expedited options available. Travellers must hold a passport valid at least six months with a blank page, a confirmed return/onward ticket, accommodation proof, and a yellow-fever vaccination certificate is commonly required given regional risk. Because the authorisation must be approved before boarding, treat this as an eVisa-type requirement rather than visa-on-arrival. Suriname is in South America and is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
