Do Hong Kong passport holders need a visa to visit RS?

HK passport holders can visit Serbia visa-free for up to 14 days for tourism. No visa, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival is required for short stays within this limit. Holders of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) passport enjoy visa-free entry to the Republic of Serbia for tourism and short visits of up to 14 days. This reciprocal arrangement has been in force since 3 November 2011 and remains current as of 2026, confirmed by the Hong Kong Immigration Department and the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Serbia is NOT a Schengen member state, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply; however, days spent in Serbia do not count toward the Schengen allowance and vice versa. At the border, travelers should carry a passport valid for the duration of stay, proof of accommodation, return/onward tickets, and evidence of sufficient funds. Visitors must register their address with the local police within 24 hours of arrival (hotels do this automatically for guests). For stays exceeding 14 days, or for purposes such as work or study, a visa or temporary residence permit must be obtained in advance from a Serbian embassy or consulate. Travelers should always confirm the latest requirements before departure, as the visa-free allowance for HKSAR passports (14 days) is shorter than the 90-day allowance granted to many Western nationalities.
