No visa needed. Holders of an HKSAR ordinary passport may enter Poland and the rest of the Schengen Area visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. Poland is part of the Schengen Area, and Hong Kong SAR ordinary passport holders enjoy visa-free short-stay access to the entire Schengen zone for up to 90 days within any rolling 180-day period for tourism, business, family visits and transit. This is confirmed on the Hong Kong Immigration Department's official visa-free access list. No advance visa or entry permit is required for a short tourist visit as of 30 May 2026. Two EU systems are changing the way travel works but neither requires a visa: the Entry/Exit System (EES) began phased rollout in October 2025 and replaces manual passport stamping with biometric registration (facial image and fingerprints) taken at the border at no cost. The European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) is a pre-travel online authorisation (fee around EUR 7, valid 3 years) that is scheduled to become operational in the last quarter of 2026, followed by a transitional period during which travel without it is still permitted. As of this guide's date, ETIAS is NOT yet required, so HKSAR travellers simply need a valid passport and the standard supporting documents. Travellers should ensure their passport is valid for at least three months beyond the intended departure date from the Schengen Area and was issued within the previous 10 years.
