Do Hong Kong passport holders need a visa to visit PE?

Hong Kong SAR ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourism in Peru. You may enter visa-free and are granted a stay of up to 183 days within any 365-day period (immigration officers commonly stamp 90 days at their discretion). Holders of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) ordinary passport are visa-exempt for tourist and short business visits to Peru. No advance application, eVisa or visa-on-arrival is required. On arrival your details are recorded electronically on the Tarjeta Andina de Migracion (TAM / Andean Migration Card), which is now fully digital (TAM Virtual) at Peruvian airports and land borders, replacing the old paper form. The maximum cumulative stay is 183 days in a rolling 365-day period; in practice the immigration officer decides how many days to grant (often 90) based on your travel plans, return ticket and proof of funds. Peru is in South America and is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to this route. Your passport should be valid for the duration of stay (carry at least 6 months' validity to avoid issues), and you should be ready to show an onward/return ticket and evidence of accommodation and sufficient funds. Overstaying the granted period incurs a daily fine payable to MIGRACIONES on departure. Extensions of the tourist stay are generally not granted beyond the legal cap; travelers must leave and the 183-day cap applies across the year.
