Guatemala classifies foreign nationals into categories A, B and C; HKSAR passport holders fall under Category A, which is granted visa-free entry for up to 90 days. On arrival you receive a stamp at immigration. Note that Guatemala is part of the CA-4 Border Control Agreement with El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua: the 90-day allowance is shared across all four countries, and leaving and re-entering the CA-4 zone does not automatically reset the clock. Extensions of up to a further 90 days can be requested from the Guatemalan immigration authority (Instituto Guatemalteco de Migracion).
