Do Hong Kong passport holders need a visa to visit BN?
HKSAR ordinary passport holders can enter Brunei visa-free for up to 14 days for tourism. No advance visa, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival is needed. Holders of the Hong Kong SAR (HKSAR) ordinary passport enjoy visa-free entry to Brunei Darussalam for tourism and short visits of up to 14 days. This arrangement was established by Brunei's Consulate General in Hong Kong and is confirmed by the Hong Kong Immigration Department, which lists Brunei among the territories granting visa-free access to HKSAR passport holders. No application, fee, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival is required for a stay within 14 days. Travelers must hold a passport valid for at least six months on arrival and should be able to show proof of onward or return travel and sufficient funds. The 14-day limit is non-extendable for visa-free entry, so longer stays require a visa obtained in advance from the Brunei Consulate General in Hong Kong. As with all travel, the final decision on admission and the length of stay granted rests with Brunei immigration officers at the port of entry.
