HK SAR ordinary passport holders can enter Angola visa-free for tourism, with up to 30 days per visit and a maximum of 90 days per calendar year. No visa or eVisa is required for short stays. Since 7 December 2023, Angola grants visa-free access to holders of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) ordinary passport. Travelers may stay up to 30 days per visit, subject to an annual cap of 90 days total. This was confirmed by the Hong Kong Immigration Department following notification from the Government of the Republic of Angola, and Angola appears on the official HKSAR visa-free access list. No advance visa, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival is required for a short tourist trip. However, entry is still subject to standard documentary checks at the border: a passport valid at least six months with blank pages, proof of onward/return travel, and proof of accommodation. Critically, Angola is a yellow-fever endemic country and requires all travelers (older than 9 months to 1 year) to present a valid International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (yellow fever) on arrival; without it, entry can be refused. Angola is in southern Africa and is not part of the Schengen area, so Schengen/ETIAS rules do not apply. The final decision on entry and duration always rests with Angolan immigration officers on arrival.
