Do Hong Kong passport holders need a visa to visit AM?
No visa needed. HKSAR ordinary passport holders can enter Armenia visa-free for tourism and stay up to 180 days within a one-year period. Hong Kong SAR ordinary passport holders enjoy visa-free entry to Armenia for short tourist visits. Under a unilateral arrangement that took effect on 3 March 2019, HKSAR passport holders may stay visa-free for up to 180 days within a one-year period, confirmed by both the Hong Kong Immigration Department and Armenia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. No visa, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival is required for a tourist trip. Travelers simply present a valid passport at the border; the immigration officer stamps entry and no fee applies. Armenia is not in the Schengen Area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply here. Standard good practice is to carry a passport valid for the duration of stay (commonly 3 months recommended beyond departure), proof of onward or return travel, accommodation details, and sufficient funds. Those wishing to stay beyond 180 days can apply for a temporary residence permit from within Armenia.
