Failure to register can result in daily fines and possible deportation. An e-visa remains available (and is required) only for stays longer than 30 days or for other purposes such as work or study. Travellers should ensure their passport is stamped on entry, because exit border guards check the entry stamp to confirm the 30-day limit was not exceeded.
