Do United Kingdom passport holders need a visa to visit MA?
No. British citizens with an ordinary UK passport can enter Morocco visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days. No visa, eVisa or electronic travel authorisation is required as of 31 May 2026. United Kingdom ordinary ("British citizen") passport holders do not need a visa to visit Morocco for tourism or short business trips. They may stay up to 90 days within any 180-day period without any prior authorisation. There is no fee, no application and no eVisa for this category. The passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the date of arrival, undamaged, and stamped on entry (travellers have faced exit problems when officials failed to stamp the passport). For stays beyond 90 days, an extension must be requested at a local Moroccan police station, or a long-stay visa obtained in advance from the Moroccan Consulate General in the UK. Morocco operates an electronic travel authorisation (AEVM) scheme, but as of 31 May 2026 it applies only to certain nationalities (and was used as a temporary measure for eight African nations during AFCON 2025) - it does NOT currently apply to British citizens, who remain fully visa-exempt. Morocco is not in the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS rules do not apply to a Morocco trip.
