Do United Kingdom passport holders need a visa to visit KH?
UK ordinary passport holders need a visa for Cambodia. The simplest route is the official Cambodia eVisa (Tourist Visa T), applied online before travel: USD 30, single entry, 30-day stay, valid 90 days from issue. Visa on arrival is also available at international airports and major land borders. British citizens cannot enter Cambodia visa-free; a tourist visa is required for any short visit. The recommended option is the official Cambodia eVisa (Tourist Visa "T") obtained through the government portal at evisa.gov.kh before departure. The eVisa costs USD 30 (reduced from USD 36 on 1 January 2025), is single entry, allows a stay of up to 30 days, and is valid for 90 days from the date of issue. Processing typically takes about 3 business days, so GOV.UK advises applying at least 4 days (ideally 7+) in advance. Travelers who do not arrange an eVisa can still obtain a visa on arrival at Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanoukville international airports and at major land crossings, paying in US dollars and supplying a passport photo. Separately, since 1 September 2024, anyone arriving by air at the three international airports must complete a free electronic e-Arrival Card within 7 days before arrival; this is a health/immigration declaration and is not a visa. Passports must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival, be undamaged/complete, and have at least two blank pages. Overstaying incurs daily fines with no upper limit.
