Do France passport holders need a visa to visit ZW?

French passport holders do NOT need a visa in advance for Zimbabwe. France is a Category B country, so a tourist visa is issued on arrival at any Zimbabwe port of entry (Harare, Victoria Falls, etc.). Single-entry costs USD 30, payable on arrival. An online eVisa (evisa.gov.zw) is also available as an optional convenience. As of 2026, France is classified by the Zimbabwe Department of Immigration as a Category B nationality. This means French ordinary-passport holders are NOT required to obtain a visa before travelling: they pay for and obtain a tourist visa on arrival at any Zimbabwean port of entry (Harare/Robert Gabriel Mugabe International, Victoria Falls, Bulawayo airports, and land borders). The single-entry tourist visa costs USD 30, double-entry USD 45, and multiple-entry USD 55; the KAZA UniVisa (Zimbabwe + Zambia) costs USD 50. The standard permitted stay is 30 days, extendable at a local immigration office up to a maximum of 90 days. As an alternative to queuing on arrival, France nationals may apply online for an eVisa at the official portal evisa.gov.zw before travel (processing about 7 working days). The passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended stay with at least one blank page, and proof of onward/return travel plus accommodation details may be requested. Note: a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required only if arriving from or transiting a country with risk of yellow fever transmission. Travelers should carry USD cash in small denominations to pay the visa fee at the border.
