French (FR) ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourism in Panama. They can enter visa-free and stay up to 90 days. As an ordinary French passport holder, you can travel to Panama for tourism without any visa. France is on Panama's visa-exemption list (along with all EU member states), granting a visa-free stay of up to 90 days for tourism and short visits. There is no eVisa, ETA, or visa-on-arrival process to complete before flying. You simply present a valid passport at the border. Standard entry conditions still apply: your passport must be valid for at least 3 months from the date of entry, and Panamanian immigration officers may ask to see proof of onward/return travel and proof of economic solvency (around US$500, shown via cash, credit card, or bank statement). The 90-day stay can be extended at a National Migration Service (Servicio Nacional de Migracion) office once in the country. No vaccinations are mandatory, though a yellow fever certificate is recommended if you have visited a risk area. This visa-free arrangement is well established and remains in force as of mid-2026.
