French ordinary passport holders do not need a visa for Fiji. You receive a Visitor Permit free on arrival, valid for up to 4 months for tourism. France is on Fiji's list of visa-exempted countries. As a French ordinary passport holder traveling for tourism or to visit friends and family, you do not apply for a visa in advance. On arrival at Nadi or Nausori airport, an immigration officer issues a Visitor Permit free of charge, normally for the length of your stay up to a maximum of 4 months. To be admitted you must hold a passport valid for at least 6 months with a blank page, a confirmed onward or return ticket, proof of sufficient funds, and have no purpose other than a genuine short visit (no paid work). The permit can be extended once for up to 2 months (paid, applied online before expiry), but total stay may not exceed 6 months. Fiji is not in the Schengen area and the EU 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to entering Fiji; ETIAS concerns non-EU visitors entering the Schengen zone, which does not affect a French citizen heading to Fiji.
