Do Finland passport holders need a visa to visit SZ?
Finnish passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourist visits to eSwatini. As an EU citizen you may enter visa-free and stay up to 30 days, extendable by a further 30 days at the Ministry of Home Affairs. As of May 2026, Finland (an EU member state) is on eSwatini's visa-exempt list. Finnish ordinary passport holders can travel to the Kingdom of eSwatini for tourism or short visits without any visa, receiving a free entry stamp on arrival valid for up to 30 days. The stay can be extended once for a further 30 days by applying at the Ministry of Home Affairs in Mbabane. Travelers must hold a passport valid for at least three months beyond the intended departure date, with at least two blank pages for entry/exit endorsements. Immigration officers may also ask for proof of sufficient funds and a return or onward ticket. eSwatini launched an eVisa portal in August 2025, but this applies only to nationalities that require a visa; EU citizens including Finns remain visa-exempt and do not need to apply. Visa-on-arrival for visa-required nationalities is not yet offered at border posts. The verdict of visa-free is confirmed by the official eSwatini tourism authority, the eSwatini Government services portal, and the consolidated visa policy record.
