Do Finland passport holders need a visa to visit PK?
Finnish passport holders need a Pakistan tourist e-Visa, applied for online in advance at visa.nadra.gov.pk. Visa-on-arrival and the free Visa Prior to Arrival (VPA) were suspended on 1 January 2026, so there is no longer any on-arrival option. A Finland (FI) ordinary passport holder cannot enter Pakistan visa-free or get a visa on arrival for tourism. Since 1 January 2026, Pakistan suspended both Visa on Arrival (VOA) and the previously free Visa Prior to Arrival (VPA) for 126 nationalities, including EU citizens such as Finland. The only route now is the standard paid tourist e-Visa through the official Pakistan Online Visa System (POVS) run by NADRA at visa.nadra.gov.pk. For EU nationals the single-entry, three-month tourist e-Visa costs USD 35. Applicants must upload a passport scan (valid at least six months), a recent photo, confirmed hotel booking or an invitation letter, a travel itinerary and supporting financial documents. Official processing is quoted at up to about 7 business days, but in practice many applicants report 7-20 business days, so applying 4-6 weeks ahead of travel is strongly advised. The e-Visa is delivered electronically and must be printed and carried for boarding and immigration.
