Do Finland passport holders need a visa to visit LB?
Finnish ordinary passport holders get a FREE visa on arrival in Lebanon for tourism, valid for a 1-month stay, extendable for 2 more months. No advance application is needed. The passport must contain no Israeli stamps, visas, or seals, or entry will be refused. As of 2026-05-30, a Finland (EU) ordinary passport holder traveling to Lebanon for tourism does not need to arrange a visa before departure. Like all EU member-state citizens, Finns are granted a complimentary (no-fee) visa on arrival at Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport and other authorized ports of entry, for an initial stay of up to one month. This can be extended for up to two additional months (three months total) at the General Security offices in Lebanon. Lebanon is NOT in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to this route. Travelers must hold a passport valid at least 6 months beyond the stay with at least two blank pages, present a non-refundable return/onward ticket, and provide a Lebanese address and contact number. A critical, strictly enforced rule: any Israeli stamp, visa, or seal in the passport (or evidence of travel to Israel) results in denial of entry and possible detention. While the airport-issued tourist visa carries no fee for EU nationals, an optional pre-arranged visa via embassy/General Security costs around USD 35 (single entry). The free visa on arrival is the recommended and standard route for short tourist visits.
