Do Finland passport holders need a visa to visit HN?
No visa needed. Finnish (ordinary) passport holders can enter Honduras visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days as an EU member state national. Finland is on Honduras's visa-exempt list as a European Union member state, so an ordinary Finnish passport holder may travel to Honduras for tourism or a short visit without obtaining a visa in advance. On arrival, travelers are admitted for up to 90 days. Crucially, this 90-day allowance is governed by the Central America-4 (CA-4) Border Control Agreement and is cumulative across Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua combined, not per country. The passport should be valid for at least the duration of stay (Honduras officially requires three months of validity, though six months is widely recommended to avoid issues with airlines and intermediate transit). There is no eVisa, visa-on-arrival or ETA requirement for Finnish citizens. Travelers complete an immigration arrival form on entry and should retain any entry slip for departure. Overstays beyond the CA-4 90-day limit may incur fines, and extensions can be requested from the Honduran immigration authority (Instituto Nacional de Migracion). Note that ETIAS and Schengen rules apply only to the reverse direction (Hondurans entering the EU) and are not relevant for a Finnish citizen entering Honduras.
